Roberts & Co Electrical Ltd

Electrical Safety Inspection & Certificate

Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)

Ideal for landlords and house buyers. Our experienced electricians will thoroughly test your electrical installation. Book today, prices from £150+VAT.

Why pick us for your next inspection?

Based in Devon, all of our highly experienced electricians are ECS/JIB certified, meaning that they have completed a formal industry regulated competency based qualification. Additionally they all hold City & Guilds qualifications and Roberts & Co Electrical is Part-P registered with the NICEIC.

Who needs a report?

The EICR involves a thorough testing of your electrical wiring and fuse board – technically called a ‘consumer unit’. It’s therefore ideal for anyone looking to buy a property to ensure that you don’t discover any nasty/expensive surprises after you complete.

Landlords who have properties in multiple occupation (HMO) are legally required to have an electrical safety inspection at least every 5 years. Other landlords are still recommended to have this carried out, to ensure their property is safe when tenants move in and maintained in a safe condition throughout its duration.

How long does it take?

This will depend on the size and nature of your property, but typically (for a 2 bedroom house) it can take around half a day to fully test and inspect. Larger properties can take up a full day, but we can advise on timescales when you contact us.

How much does it cost?

Again this will depend on the size and nature of your property, but for a 2-bedroom house the price starts from £150+VAT. Get in touch using the details below for a no-obligation estimate.

What do I get at the end of the test?

You will be emailed a PDF  which gives you a highly detailed insight in to the safety of your electrical installation, including an easy to understand grading system so you can identify any issues that might need attention.
